Bourn Parish Council - Traffic Calming Consultation
In addition to the road narrowing work expected to be carried out on the Broadway in the autumn, the Parish Council is investigating further traffic calming measures. The options we are considering are set out below.  We are canvassing opinions on the various options and would value yours.

* 2. Village Gateways - Many of you will have noticed the gateways in other villages that clearly communicate to drivers that they are entering a village. Toft has recently installed such gateways. The image above shows the entry into Yelling. We believe these could be very effective in Bourn. Would you be in favour of them here?

* 3. Road bumps - Kingston has installed a road bump on Tinkers Lane. Hardwick has had road bumps on Main Street for some time. In the right place they can be very effective. Would you be in favour of them here?

* 4. Road colouring - Knapwell has had red tarmac on their High Street for a long time and it clearly delineates the village centre. Would you be in favour of this here?
