Developing a model of local engagement in England

Members have told us that the vision for local engagement should be:

1.      Enabling members to network together as professionals; developing and supporting each other in their local areas.  The importance of face to face meetings remains, but a growing number of members find this difficult or it does not meet their needs.

2.      Enabling members to engage externally; raising the profile of pharmacy with a variety of stakeholders. Pharmacists as professions are the best advocates and they should be given  the tools to help  explain how pharmacy can help improve patient care in your areas.

3.      Enabling members to feed back into the RPS. RPS needs to listen to members more and the local engagement activities are a key way of us doing this.
