Welfare and health research development

We are a team of researchers from Northumbria University, University College London, Newcastle University, Sheffield University, and the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. We have been funded by the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) School for Public Health Research to come together to develop a programme of research on the broad topic of welfare advice/welfare provision and health. We are in the process of identifying research questions that are relevant to policy and practice. As such, we have started developing potential questions based on existing literature and our previous research experience.

We want to make sure that our programme addresses issues that are important to those providing, funding and receiving welfare support and/or welfare advice services.

We have developed this brief survey to ask you to identify research priorities from your perspective and to comment on the questions we have considered so far.

If you have any questions about this or the programme of research in general, please contact monique.lhussier@northumbria.ac.uk or natalie2.forster@northumbria.ac.uk.

Thank you.
