The Work Room & Barrowland Ballet recognise systemic exclusion within the arts sector and we are striving to put equity and inclusion at the heart of our work. We collect EDI information from those applying for opportunities to help us understand who these are reaching, and to identify and take action to address barriers and discrimination. This information is collated anonymously, stored separately from your personal information and adheres to GDPR guidelines.

Socio-economic background

The arts and cultural sector has started to look for ways to address socio-economic inequality alongside the characteristics protected by The Equality Act 2010. To improve the sector's ability to address this, it is important to capture information about people's backgrounds.
