A Pharmaceutical Needs Assessment provides a picture of existing pharmaceutical services in a local area and helps to identify what services may be needed in the future. South Tyneside Health and Wellbeing Board has a statutory duty to review its existing Pharmaceutical Needs Assessment (PNA). This is in line with the guidance on developing Pharmacy Needs Assessments and section 242 of the Health Service Act 2012, which stipulates the need to involve Health and Wellbeing Boards in scrutinising health services.

The new Pharmaceutical Needs Assessment must be published by 1st October 2022.

Your feedback will help us to know whether our assessment is correct and help to inform any changes that may need to be made to the document. This is an anonymous survey.  Any feedback you provide will be treat in accordance with South Tyneside Council's Privacy Notice.
