* 3. Legal training: To be a Casework Volunteer with Advocate, it is preferable to have completed at least one year of law-related study or work. Please explain how you satisfy this criterion (max. 500 characters).

* 4. Relevant Employment and Voluntary History: Please tell us about your two most recent employment positions and any previous and/or current volunteering positions(max. 500 characters per position). 

You should include the dates you started and ended your employment/volunteering; the company/organisation's name; your position and; a description of your duties as relevant to this position.

You will be predominantly writing case summaries derived from applicant documents.

In order for Advocate to assess your summary writing potential, please summarise Advocate’s application process, for those individuals seeking the assistance of a volunteer barrister.  This should include who is eligible to apply, how they can apply and what happens after their application is received.  You may structure this as you wish.

One of these people should be your law tutor (or similar) and the other person should be someone who is not a close friend or family member who can act as a character witness. You can fill in your second reference in answer to question ten.

Interviews will take place on the dates below, at a fixed time between 9am and 5pm. The interview will be approximately 20 minutes long on Zoom.
