The Lensbury Tennis Club Championships 2019 Information
This knock-out tournament for Lensbury Tennis Club Members or Juniors in the summer term programme is played from 24th April to 7th July.
Adult Entry Information:
Entry Deadline: Monday 15th April
Draws Available: Wednesday 24th April
Finals Day: Sunday 7th July
Junior Entry Information:
Entry Deadline: 12U, 15U – Sunday 28th April / 8U, 9U, 10U – Sunday 9th June
Draws Available: 12U, 15U – Wednesday 1st May / 8U, 9U, 10U – on the day (Saturday 29th June)
Finals Day: Sunday 7th July
Junior Club Championships (8U-10U) will take place on Saturday 29th June (except 10U final, which will be on the finals day – Sun 7th July)
By entering this tournament you have read the guidance notes (below) and give consent to allow photos to be taken for Lensbury marketing only. If you have any concerns about this please contact tennis.manager@lensbury.com.
Guidance Notes
PLAY BY DATES:
The play by dates for each round will be strictly enforced. The winner of any match not played by the due date will be determined by the toss of a coin – the Referee’s!
CHOICE OF COURT SURFACE:
The player who makes initial contact to arrange a match will have choice of court surface. The finals will be played on grass.
BALLS:
The player who did not make the initial contact must provide 4 new or once used balls for the match.
MATCHES:
All matches (including finals) will consist of 2 tie break sets (to 7 and 2 points ahead). If the match is tied at one set all play a championship tie breaker game (10 points).
All U8’s, U9’s & U10’s matches will all be played on Saturday 29th June. Excluding the U10’s Final, this will be on Sunday 7th July. Match format will be explained on the day.
Fair Play: Please remember you officiate all of your own matches and it is expected that you play with respect and honesty.

FINALS DATES:
Finals will be played on Sunday 7th July from 10.30 (Including U10’s)
8U’s & 9U’s will be played on Saturday 29th June.
ANYONE NOT ABLE TO PLAY ON THESE DATES, SHOULD NOT PROCEED BEYOND THE ¼ FINAL STAGE OF ANY EVENT
