Introduction

Over the past couple of years our working group, made up of Supporters Group members across the UK and the world, together with Swansea City club representatives and the Swans Trust have been working hard on improving our network and how we communicate with our affiliated Swans Supporters Groups and supporters throughout Wales, the UK and across the world.

This is reflected in the information now available on the club's website  and we regularly keep our group contacts updated of the work we are doing alongside the club so that they can pass these details on to their group members as they consider appropriate.

Our working group believe now is the right time to consider taking this initiative a step further by encouraging as many members of our Supporter Groups as possible to also become part of the "Global Swans" or "Global Jacks" project by registering their details on a soon to be announced database overseen by our working group.

We are not just limiting this to current members of the 50+ Swans Supporter Groups across the UK and the world; this is open to anyone who is a part of the Jack Army, especially those from outside Swansea who may support the Swans but aren't currently a member of any active Supporters Group.

Anyone registering as a "Global Swan/Jack" will be offered the same as members of our affiliated Supporter Groups such as:

* regular updates with relevant club and supporter news.
* invitations to attend virtual events such as Forums and other online events (minimum of 2 per season).
* our working group will explore ways of looking to secure more attractive rates for hotels for members visiting Swansea to attend home games.
* access to regularly updated information packs and specific points of contact in facilitating match tickets for any “Global Swans/Jacks” and Supporter Groups visiting Swansea at any time of year.
* quarterly competitions to win Swans signed merchandise.

We feel there would be other benefits of improving our "Global Swans/Jacks" network across the UK and the world, i.e.

* help make it easier for Swans supporters to come together in whatever part of the UK/world they live.
* encourage groups and supporters to interact more with each other and form new friendships.
* provide more information from and about their nearest affiliated Swans Supporter Group.
* encourage the formation of new Swans Supporter Groups in future years.
* improve our "Global Swans/Jacks" social media presence and content.

We are also looking at other ideas of how we can improve this still further so if anyone has alternative suggestions they would like to make just add them to the comments box at the end of this survey and we will ensure it gets passed back to our working group.
