Introduction

If you are involved in boccia in any way, we would like your views. Boccia is enjoyed by many people in England and we want to find out:

·       who plays our sport

·       how we can improve our engagement with you

·       what we can do to help you play more

·       the impact boccia has on your life

·       the impact COVID-19 has had on your ability to take part in boccia

The results of the Big Boccia Survey will provide us with information to better understand who is involved in our sport, how that is changing over time, and what we can do to improve the experience so more people start and keep playing, enjoying the benefits that boccia can bring.

We want to hear from you if you are involved in boccia; whether you play regularly or are just starting out if you are a coach, official, parent, carer, or another key stakeholder involved in boccia.

We are aware that the current situation caused by COVID-19 means access to normal games and tournaments is restricted. We have added some specific questions in to capture the overall impact of COVID-19 on your ability to take part in boccia.

There are 47 questions in total, but some respondents will not answer all of them. There are some sections that are just relevant to players for example. The survey will take approximately 15 minutes to complete.

As a thank you for completing the survey, and if you enter the prize draw, you will have the chance to win a Handilife boccia ball set worth £276.

Please be assured that your data will only be used for the purposes of this survey. The final data (anonymised) will be shared with a third party for analysis purposes only.  Any results that are reported will be anonymised.

We would like to thank you for taking the time to complete our survey and helping us to improve our service.
