The Role

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer for the Growth Team who has a real passion for solving complex and interesting problems. We work closely with other teams to build tools to help support A/B testing across all of our products. We also build and run A/B tests to help grow our business by increasing paid conversions and retaining paying customers.

  • Build and maintain our internal A/B testing platform, built primarily in Python
  • Top-to-bottom ownership of Growth projects, including crafting technical specs, writing readable and extensible code, and keeping tabs on post-release metrics
  • Help grow SurveyMonkey's business by optimizing funnels, virality loops, and international growth
  • Evangelize experimentation throughout our product and engineering organization

  • Minimum 3 years of professional programming experience pushing production quality code
  • In-depth, hands-on knowledge of Python and experience working with the relevant tools
  • Experience with Python web frameworks, like Pylons/Pyramid or Django; or for other languages, like Ruby on Rails
  • Able to write efficient SQL queries and design schemas for relational databases
  • Culture of code reviews, writing tech specs, and collaborating closely with other people (not a solo hacker)
  • A deep understanding of the JavaScript language and of the tools and code libraries (React, Redux, Webpack).

At SurveyMonkey, we offer competitive salaries, medical/dental benefits, PTO, 401k, paid holidays, and equity compensation.

SurveyMonkey is an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.
