New York Times|SurveyMonkey poll: April 2019

More than four in ten people (43%) who’ve already filed their 2018 tax returns aren’t sure whether they got a tax cut as a result of the December 2017 tax law (20% lean towards thinking they did, and 24% lean towards thinking they didn’t), according to an April New York Times|SurveyMonkey poll.

Nearly a quarter of people (24%) say they definitely got a tax cut, and 31% say they definitely didn’t.

Republicans are more likely than Democrats to be certain they got a tax cut (35% vs. nine percent), while Democrats are more likely than Republicans to be certain they didn’t (46% vs. 18%).
