Introduction

NHS Vale of York Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG), the organisation responsible for procuring the majority of health care services in the area, are reaching out to the Vale of York community to help them shape and improve local Musculoskeletal (MSK) services.

Musculoskeletal covers any injury, disease or problem relating to our muscles, bones, ligaments, nerves or joints.

MSK services support adults with over 200 different conditions and covers individual services such as Orthopaedics, Rheumatology, Chronic Pain and Physiotherapy.”

The current local MSK service includes physiotherapy and specialist Extended Scope Practitioner clinics – there is also integration to allow direct referral to orthopaedics. The current service does not include Pain Clinic or Rheumatology services.

We place patients at the centre of their own care and we want to create forward thinking, innovative solutions which will help to meet the needs of our patients.

If you have previously attended the MSK service, we would like to hear from you about your experience to help us to shape how these services will look in the future.

As well as this survey, we have arranged a series of drop in sessions where patients are invited to come along and tell us about your experiences:
