You are invited to take part in an important survey of local business owners and operators in and around Larkhall.

Recent feedback during the development of Larkhall’s Community Plan highlighted that many local people wanted outdoor community space in the town centre. So, we are exploring the potential for pedestrianising King Street in Larkhall to create a community outdoor "meeting and greeting" space.

The idea is for the pedestrianised area to become a community focal point. We anticipate that the space would be used for regular and one off events, and for leisure and recreation activities. We think that having an outdoor community space in the town centre would improve the look and feel of the area, and would increase local business footfall by giving people a reason to ‘linger’ and socialise in the town centre.

This survey gives you the opportunity to share your views and opinions about this potential project. It should take no more than 5 minutes to complete. We are running a separate survey for community feedback.

Larkhall Community Growers have engaged Alan Jones Associates to speak with local businesses and stakeholders about this idea, and this survey is being carried out by them.

Your participation in this survey is greatly appreciated. Thank you.
