The falling value of the pound has been one of the most tangible consequences of the UK’s decision to leave the European Union so far. Yet the extent of the impact this is having on the fashion industry is still unclear.

Anecdotally, many brands and agents have told us they have been forced to have a serious rethink about their pricing strategies in 2017. But how much are prices going up by? And how else are brands coping with the rising cost of production?

Our survey, which is aimed at fashion and footwear brands, agents and distributors, seeks to clarify this impact. We want to know if you’ve already had to up your prices or fear you may have to in the future, and how much of a hit you’re taking on your margins.

The deadline for responses is 17 February and the results will be published in online and in Drapers a few weeks later. Please note that we will not publish any individual or brand names in the article unless we are given explicit prior permission. This survey is designed to identify general trends only.

If you are not a representative of a fashion or footwear brand, agent or distributor but you have views on this issue, we would love to hear them – but please email drapers@emap.com rather than filling out the survey.
