Welcome to the latest Environmental Finance Deals of the Year Awards – to recognise excellence in the application of capital markets know-how to addressing the world’s environmental problems.

Nominations are open until 12 May 2017.

Companies and individuals are welcome to nominate themselves, their colleagues or the companies that they work for.

Entrants can nominate in as many or as few categories as they wish.

The award categories are as follows:

  • Environmental Finance IPO of the Year
  • Environmental Finance M&A deal of the Year
  • Wind Energy Financing of the Year
  • Solar Power Financing of the Year
  • Bioenergy Financing of the Year
  • Other Renewable Energy Financing of the Year
  • Energy Efficiency Financing of the Year
  • Carbon Finance Transaction of the Year
  • Water Finance Transaction of the Year
  • Environmental Bond of the Year
  • Sustainable Forestry Transaction of the Year
  • Weather Risk Management Transaction of the Year
  • Catastrophe Risk Management Transaction of the Year
  • Environmental Finance Personality of the Year

Transactions must have closed or been announced between 1 January 2016 and 31 December 2016.

Each nomination can be supported, if necessary, by additional material. We would encourage nominees to keep such material concise, unless the deal was not widely publicised at the time.

You can make nominations in more than one category.

The awards will be judged by the Environmental Finance editorial team, with the support of market experts.

The identity of nominators will be kept confidential – however, nominations must be accompanied by contact details, as nominators may be contacted by Environmental Finance editorial staff.
