At this time, Parking Services are planning to carry out consultations in areas on the 2022-2024 works programme that was agreed by Cabinet Planning and Parking Panel in 2021. A further works programme was considered and agreed in February 2024 for 2024/2026.
The works programme is designed to tackle as many requests as possible and mitigate the issues facing many residents from across the borough.
This means, we do not have available budget, or even assigned to work in areas not on the current works programme. We will add all requests received onto our parking investigation spreadsheet which we will review in late 2025 and will assist us in planning the 2026-28 works programme, though at that stage not all requests might be fulfilled, it will be considered on several factors including number of requests within the Council Ward area.
In the meantime, if this is a highway safety issue, it should also be reported to Hertfordshire County Council as the Highways Authority they have powers and resources to tackle road safety issues, and they will run relevant checks such as accident statistics to see if there is a documented safety issue and look if there is a budget to cover such factors.
