Registration guidance

Please note the following information before registering your child:
This activity is aimed at children age 8+.
The programme is working towards a certificate for Arts Award Discover from Trinity College London.
Further details can be found at www.artsaward.org.uk
By registering for this programme you give your permission for Slough Libraries and Culture to share your child's details with Trinity College London for the purpose of issuing a certificate.
All contact details must be for parents/carers. We will not contact children directly.
Children will be asked to complete a number of tasks to achieve the award and will be encouraged to get involved with and learn more about arts and culture.
All work submitted must be the child's own work and they must complete all elements of the programme to achieve their award.
We have two modules available - poetry and puppetry. Please indicate your preference on the form below. Please note, only one certificate can be awarded at each Arts Award level, even if children take part in more than one module.
Staff from Slough Libraries and Culture may contact you by phone to speak to your child, so they can share what they have learnt and we can check their understanding of the programme. This will only be done with your permission and we would expect this to be carried out over a speaker while you are in the room  with the child to monitor the conversation. The staff have DBS checks.
Due to Covid restrictions, the puppetry module will be delivered online via Zoom. Please ensure you can access this platform, before registering.
If your child already has Arts Award Discover, they will not get another Arts Award Discover certificate from Trinity College London.
For Arts Award enquiries, please contact library@slough.gov.uk
