Tennis Courts Consultation

The Salts Recreation Ground currently hosts 5 tennis courts in dilapidated condition within fenced in grounds.
In order to provide an improved tennis service, The Lawn Tennis Association is prepared to provide a loan equivalent to 50% of the project cost. In order to bring the courts in line with LTA requirements, they will need to be larger courts. Therefore the courts will be replaced with 3 new courts.
Should the demand be there the 2 lost courts will be created at a later point elsewhere.
The courts projected cost is in the region of £150,000. We aim to achieve the majority of funding through grants and funding through the LTA.
The courts will benefit from flood lighting (subject to planning permission), windbreaks, an online booking system, gated access (to maintain court integrity).
