Introduction to the Pembury Neighbourhood Plan
Pembury Parish Council is leading on the development of a Neighbourhood Plan for the parish. It will set out planning policies that will impact how land is used in the parish and how planning applications are considered.
It is not the same as the Tunbridge Wells Local Plan, which covers the whole Borough. Rather it is a more local document just for Pembury. We cannot use it to stop development set out in the Local Plan but we can include more detail to make sure that planning in our parish is done in a sympathetic way. We can also use it to identify special places and features of the parish, like green spaces, local views, and important heritage.
