In September 2014, the Welsh Government introduced the Active Travel (Wales) Act 2013 which makes it a legal requirement for local authorities in Wales to map and plan suitable routes for Active Travel.
An Active Travel journey is defined as 'a journey made to or from a workplace or educational establishment or in order to access health, leisure or other services or facilities'.
Active travel does not include journeys made purely for recreation such as walking the dog.
Denbighshire County Council’s draft Active Travel Integrated Network Map (INM) shows our potential plans for improving Active Travel routes over the next 15 years.
The survey can be completed anonymously and will take less than 10 minutes to complete.
